THE HISTORY OF
OUR COMPANY
California native Stephen Kraft owns Kraft Furniture. He received his architectural training at UC Berkeley. He is a skilled furniture maker who has been producing multi-scale pieces in his Oakland, California, studio since 1978. His interests include watercolor painting, Japanese gardening, and hummingbird feeding in the neighborhood. He is an accomplished and creative designer and artist.
In the 1970s, he lived in Kyoto, Japan, and was drawn to the world of Zen gardens. In addition to creating quality, custom furniture for your home, he can also create a beautiful Japanese garden or entryway for your home.
